Common questions

Which files does Modulo play?

Modules: .mod, .xm, .s3m, .it and every other format libopenmpt plays. No mp3 or other regular audio: Modulo is a player for tracker music.

Can I make or edit music with it?

No. Modulo is a player and edits nothing. For composing, OpenMPT, Renoise or MilkyTracker on your computer are a better place.

I don't have any modules yet. Where do I find them?

The largest archive is The Mod Archive. Download them in Safari, then open them in Modulo.

Does Modulo cost anything?

Modulo itself is free: playback, the live pattern, loops, your own archive and the house look in dark and light. Modulo Plus is a one-time purchase for the extras, no subscription: themes after real machines, EQ / DSP (an equalizer with presets, bass boost, headphone crossfeed and pitch) and exporting tracks as MP3, AAC, OGG or WAV.
